FOI Request

Name: Antoine Wiley

Affiliation: Athanor Works LLC

Location: UConn Storrs

Request Date Start: 08/01/2015

Request Date End: 07/23/2026

Details: Under the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act, I request existing, aggregate, de-identified grade-distribution data for undergraduate courses that University of Connecticut (all campuses) already maintains. For each course, section, instructor of record, and term, I request the count of students receiving each final grade (A, A-, B+, and so on through F, plus non-letter outcomes such as P/NP, W, I, Q) and total enrollment. If not kept in that form, the closest existing equivalent (e.g., reported average GPA and enrollment per section). Time period: all retained terms, or the most recent ten academic years. Please provide the data electronically in native, machine-readable format (CSV or Excel).

These are aggregate counts, not individual records; aggregate grade counts that identify no student are not FERPA education records. Where a section is small enough to risk identifying a student, please mask only those individual cells rather than withholding the whole row.

I am not asking the institution to create new records or perform analysis, only to export data it already holds. I request a public-interest fee waiver: the data will be published free to the public and not sold or used for solicitation. In full transparency, the requester is Athanor Works LLC, a for-profit company; the records will be free to the public and the direct use is non-commercial. Please provide an itemized estimate before incurring any fee; I do not authorize any charge without my prior written approval.

This request does not concern any named individual or any restricted-access record; it seeks only aggregate, de-identified data.
