Freedom of Information and Transparency
As a public agency and state-supported institution of higher education, UConn is subject to the requirements of the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). C.G.S. § 1-200, et seq. The FOIA is a state law that promotes government transparency by providing access to the public records and meetings of public agencies in the state of Connecticut. At UConn, we are committed to responding to public records requests as promptly as possible while also protecting the privacy rights of our students and employees.
