Details: Dear University Communications Office:

Under the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act § 1-200 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records that pertain to email correspondence between the UConn administration, the Division of University Safety, as well as the office of Susan Herbst, during the months of April through March of 2010, with any emails pertaining to Spring Weekend and university student Jafar Karzoun.

If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me if the cost will exceed $15. However, I would also like to request a waiver of all fees in that the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest and will contribute significantly to the public’s understanding of the events that occurred for The Daily Campus to help UConn students understand, as well as Amanda Crawford's media law course. This information is not being sought for commercial purposes.
