Details: This request is looking for the number of complaints for academic misconduct sent by the Office of Community Standards to students on the Storrs campus each academic year. The current Academic, Scholarly, and Professional Integrity and Misconduct (ASPIM) Policy includes behaviors such as cheating, plagiarizing, misrepresenting, and noncompliance. The policy was adopted in May of 2023, but this request is looking for documentation of complaints with these behaviors with data from the 2015-16 academic year up until the most recent 2024-2025 period.
Any current separation of the complaints between academic departments should remain in the documents, unless they aren't currently separated. In addition to departments, please separate any data that includes the number of complaints flagging Artificial Intelligence as contributing to the accused academic misconduct.
This FOIA request and solely looking for the number of students accused of academic misconduct broken down by department without any inquiry on identification of who received the complaints. Therefore this request should be in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
