Details: Dear FOIA Officer,
I am writing today to request information for a research study being conducted by myself and my research partner, Dr. Jennifer Wooldridge at the University of Texas at Tyler. Under the Texas Public Information Act, we are making a FOIA request to receive the email addresses of all undergraduate students at the University of Connecticut. The list should be pulled from the most recent fall 2024 semester data. The data will be used for academic research to survey students for our project, "Public Opinions of Exclusionary Discipline for K-12 Students in Connecticut and Texas", which has been IRB approved at the University of New Haven (IRB 2024-070).
As part of this study, we will send out an online survey to all students in the Connecticut University System. We request a list of email addresses that we can enter Qualtrics and send out the survey. We do not need any other identifiable information about the students - including demographics or personal information. This is a completely voluntary survey and students may opt out of the survey at any time. Students who complete the survey will be eligible to receive one of twenty $10 Amazon e-gift cards offered.
Overall, our is ask is for the file with the list of email addresses to be emailed to us, or if too large it can be uploaded into a file share system that we can provide. We are flexible on the format (CSV, Excel, etc.). Thank you for making a timely consideration of our request. Please let me know if you have any questions.
