Details: Under the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act § 1-200 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records pertaining to sports gambling. In particular, I am seeking any emails sent or received by any of the following people:

• Jason Butikofer, Deputy Director of Athletics/Chief Operating Officer, jason.butikofer@uconn.edu
• Chris Grosse Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Strategy, christopher.grosse@uconn.edu
• Dominic Godi Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Initiatives dominic.godi@uconn.edu
That include any of the following words or phrases: “sports gambling,” “gambling,” “DraftKings,” “FanDuel," “Barstool,” or “BetMGM.” I am looking for emails sent/received between May 1, 2021 and March 20, 2024.
If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me if the cost will exceed $100.
The Connecticut Freedom of Information Act requires a response within four business days. If access to the records I am requesting will take longer, please contact me with information about when I might expect copies or the ability to inspect the requested records.
If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under the law.
