Request Date Start: 01/01/2025

Request Date End: 12/31/2025

Details: Pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act (C.R.S. §24-72-201 et seq.), I am requesting the following information from your athletics department.

Records of every in-kind, non-cash, or consignment donation your university’s college football team received from 1/1/2025 to 12/31/2025.

If your university fills out forms for every in-kind donation, such as “Consignment/Non-Cash Gift” forms, I would love copies of those. However, I am happy for you to fulfill this request in whatever fashion is easiest for you, whether that is a spreadsheet of all records or individual copies.

As long as the gifts are identified by type/purpose (ie private jet time or donuts or whatever), I will be good.

Period Tracking Apps in Athletics

Name: David Covucci

Affiliation: FOIAball

Location: UConn Storrs

Request Date Start: Withheld.

Request Date End: Withheld.

Details: Regarding this request, I understand there may be concerns about releasing certain details as they relate to HIPAA. I am willing to agree upfront to any redactions that need to be made with regard to individuals’ identity or private health data.

Pursuant to Connecticut's Freedom of Information Act (Chapter 14 Conn. Gen. Stats.) I am requesting the following data from your athletics department. Specifically, I am requesting data in possession of your women’s women's basketball team, as well as athletic training, sports performance, or other related staff.

A list of all wearable data devices required or offered to be worn by student-athletes for practice, games, or daily life for the above-listed sports.

Any policies the athletics department has established for the use of wearable data devices.

Any agreements or information sheets provided to student athletes regarding wearable data devices

Any agreements for wearable data devices the university has with the following firms: Clue, Flo, Ovia, Glow, Whoop, WildAI/Zepp Health, FitrWoman or Fitr Coach, Kinexion, Oura or other applications that track individuals' menstrual cycles.

A list of all linked accounts to any of the above applications if run by a centralized university account.

Any questionnaires or online forms sent to student-athletes in the above-listed sports requesting menstrual cycle information.

A screenshot of any Teamworks AMS dashboard (or similar third-party platforms for athlete health such as Lumin) that covers menstrual cycle data (with necessary redactions).

A list of inputs provided to athletes for any Teamworks AMS dashboard (or similar third-party platforms for athlete health such as Lumin) covering menstrual cycle data.

For all the above requested information, the most recent copy for all will suffice. Again, if you have any questions about this, given the sensitivities involved, I’m happy to chat. I am working on a story about the tracking of this data, and not interested in any personal identifying information or data the school believes should be withheld under HIPAA.

Please note that Connecticut law requires public agencies to respond to requests within four days of receiving them by either processing or denying the request, or providing written notice requesting an extension.

As I am an independent journalist engaged in legitimate newsgathering, I am requesting a fee waiver of any associated costs with this request. In lieu of a fee waiver, I am requesting a detailed invoice of any potential costs, if any, associated with this request.

Thanks,
David
