Details: Dear FOI officer,
Under the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act § 1-200 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records related to mold inspections conducted in resident halls at the University of Connecticut. I am requesting any and all public records from January 2020 to present, including but not limited to mold inspection reports, environmental testing results, maintenance or facilities work orders related to mold inspections and health or safety inspections reports referencing mold in resident halls, and communications between university janitors or staff regarding mold inspections or mold findings in dormitories.

If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me if the cost will exceed $50. However, I would also like to request a waiver of all fees in that the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest and will contribute significantly to the public’s understanding of health and safety conditions in university housing. This information is not being sought for commercial purposes.
