I am part of a team at the University of Washington School of Medicine conducting an NIH-funded study evaluating an app to support students who have recently experienced sexual assault. In our previous research, we found that using the app in the months after an assault prevented the development of posttraumatic stress and related problems. Our current study is ongoing at 10 US universities, and we hope to expand to additional universities.
