UConn Athletics: Contracts + Ticket Data
Name: Matt Brown
Affiliation: Extra Points
Location: UConn Storrs
Request Date Start: 09/01/2023
Request Date End: 07/01/2024
Details: I would like to file an Open Records Request for the following documentation:
1) The number of scanned tickets for home men's basketball games AND football games at your sponsoring institution for the 2022 and 2023 football seasons and 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 basketball seasons. This is not the number that is officially reported to the NCAA for attendance, but the number of tickets scanned at the event.
2) Copies of the most current athletic department vendor agreements for all vendors in the following categories:
* Athletic department travel (including but not limited to: travel agencies, hotels, charter bus companies, etc)
* Software used for NCAA compliance
* Concession management
* Official athletics website design and management
* Graphic Design
* Social media account management
* Event ticketing and ticket management
* Advanced stats (i.e shot tracking, pitch velocity tracking, football play tracking, etc)
* NIL education and compliance services
* Pouring rights
* Video editing, clipping and distribution services
* Search firms
3) Finally, the most current contract for all full-time assistant coaches of UConn NCAA sponsored sports: Contracts for staffers who are not employed full-time in an on-field coaching role (i.e, operations, player personnel, etc) should be considered not responsive to this request.
The purpose of these requests is to compile a contract database to assist researchers who are studying finances in college athletics and need more granular data beyond what is collected in FRS reports. Any personal identifying information can be redacted.
I understand that this is a broad request. Should your office require fees or additional clarification, we would be happy to pay/assist in that clarification.
This request is being made on behalf of a media outlet (Extra Points / One Catch Zero Yards LLC).
Thank you all, and have a wonderful rest of your week.
All the best,
Matt Brown
