Details: Under the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act ยง 1-200 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records that relate to correspondence between representatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and academic officials at the University of Connecticut regarding concerns of intellectual property theft and economic espionage within various fields of science at the institution.
In particular, I seek access to electronic records of any and all email correspondence between January 1, 2016 and July 21, 2019 between representatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation ("FBI") and the Office of the Provost; and any and all correspondence from the same date between representatives of the FBI and representatives of the following academic departments: at UConn: Chemistry; Economics; Geosciences; Mathematics; Physics; and Physiology and Neurobiology. I would also like to include the office for research, including Radenka Maric, Wesley Byerly, Michael Glasgow Jr., Michelle Williams and Mark Aindow.
