Dear Public Records Officer,
Under the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act § 1-200 et seq., I am requesting copies of
public records as follows:
• A log of public records requests submitted to the University of Connecticut - Storrs, dated
between January 1st, 2018 and December 19th, 2024, including the date that the
request was submitted, a description of the request, and the status (denied, granted,
closed by requester, etc.) of the request in an electronic format.
• Annual reports submitted by the University of Connecticut - Storrs, to the Association for
Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC), dated
between January 1st, 2018 and December 19th, 2024.
If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me if the cost will
exceed $50. However, I would also like to request a waiver of all fees in that the disclosure of
the requested information is in the public interest and will contribute significantly to the public’s
understanding of the role that record requests play in the public university system. This
information is not being sought for commercial purposes.
If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the
refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under
the law.
