On July 27th, 2022, UConn university safety and administrative departments participated in a simulation hosted by FEMA/DHS to train officials in how to respond to civil unrest stemming from protests, such as the civil unrest seen in 2020 from the Black Lives Matter movement.
Why did UConn participate in this training, but not the many others hosted by FEMA, such as school shooting response trainings, which seem much more relevant?
What was the exact nature of this training?
What are UConn's plans to suppress civil unrest at UConn and in surrounding areas?
