Pursuant to the applicable open-records law(s), I am requesting copies of the following:
1. The current contracts and the current base salaries, if not specified in the contract, for the following athletics department employees:
--Men’s basketball head coach.
--The men’s basketball team’s three full-time assistant coaches.
--Women’s basketball head coach.
--Baseball head coach.
--Softball head coach.
2. The most recent athletically related outside income report for the men’s basketball head coach and the women’s basketball head coach.
3. An itemized list of incentive bonus amounts actually paid to the current men’s basketball head coach and to the current women’s basketball head coach from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. The goal of this request is to obtain data about bonus payments made for sport-related goals achieved during the 2021-22 basketball season and/or for academic or other achievements during a full, 12-month period, even though that period may not conform with the school’s fiscal year or academic year or with the coach’s contract year.
4. The revenue-and-expenses report completed by the athletic department for the National Collegiate Athletic Association for the 2022 fiscal year. It is a multi-page document that is due to be filed with the NCAA by Jan. 15, 2023. However, because some schools file this in advance of the deadline, I am seeking it in this request and ask that, if the report is not presently available, the request for this document be held open through Jan. 17, 2023. The report contains more than 40 revenue and expense categories, followed by specific breakdowns of each of those categories, by sport and gender. I am requesting the full report, including the detail tables and the entire Statement of Revenues and Expenses that appears at the end of the report.
If these records can be provided electronically, I would prefer that format.
Please provide these records within the time allotted by relevant open-records law, provide an explanation of when the records will be provided or a statement of the statutory exception authorizing the withholding of all or parts of these records. Please include the name and title of the person responsible for the denial.
If there will be a charge of more than $25, please notify me in advance.
